Dear Highland Stake Friends,
We have a number of opportunities in the coming weeks and over the upcoming holidays to help others feel our love and the love of the Savior. We’ll be sharing these invitations via emails and on our Pocatello Highland Stake Neighbors Facebook and Instagram pages; please consider the best ways for you to help and invite neighbors and friends to join you!
First, THANK YOU to all who helped with our Food Drive several weeks ago…our youth and your generosity contributed to gathering over 500 lbs. of food to share with ISU’s Benny’s Pantry and the Pocatello Idaho Food Bank.
Second, as we’ve done for several years, our stake, and the surrounding stakes in Pocatello, are jumping in to help gather new sleeping bags and gently used or new blankets in support of the Homeless Stand Down event taking place this weekend.
If you’d like to donate items, please use this SignUpGenius link (when the screen opens, click on one of the “Sign Up” buttons for a particular item, then click on the “Save and Continue” button that appears to enter the requested information). In addition to sleeping bag and clothing donations, there are other ways to help/volunteer with this event; please check out these opportunities on https://homelessstanddown.org/volunteer.
Giving Machine volunteer and participation opportunities are coming up in November along with Salvation Army bell ringing in December…so watch out for additional information.
Thanks so much for your generosity and support of our brothers and sister in our community!
