Dear Ward & Stake Leaders,
Several weeks ago an email message was sent regarding direction from Elder Pickett, our Area Authority Seventy, to reserve the August 31st 5th Sunday 2nd hour for instruction related to our opportunity to host a Giving Machine as part of the Light the World initiative at Christmastime. We now have some additional information to share:
In the coming weeks, several members of the stake will receive training and become prepared to present the 5th Sunday instruction in each ward throughout the stake; no one from the wards will need to prepare a lesson/instruction for that time.
All adults along with youth who attend young women classes and young men quorums are invited to attend the 5th Sunday meeting. We understand this may be a challenge for some wards to fit this large of a group in one room/area; if this is the case, please reach out to Pres. Sanford so we can explore the possibility of having two rooms for instruction.
We will be in touch with each ward regarding those who will be providing the instruction as we get closer to the end of August.
We are looking forward to sharing the Giving Machine information, plans, and opportunities with each of you and the members of your wards and anticipate significant participation in this wonderful opportunity to serve and bless the lives of many of our brothers and sisters.
