Dear Highland Stake Members,
We will be starting Self-Reliance Courses this fall for adults and youth. All five courses will be
available for adults to choose from:
- Finding Strength in the Lord: Emotional Resilience
- Personal Finances for Self-Reliance
- Education for Better Work for Self-Reliance
- Find a Better Job for Self-Reliance
- Starting and Growing My Business for Self-Reliance
To support our youth and parent’s efforts to prepare to be ready to serve a mission, we are
offering two course options for our youth:
- Finding Strength in the Lord: Emotional Resilience
- Life Skills for Self-Reliance
ALL adults and incoming juniors and seniors are invited to join us for the devotional on
Sunday, September 10th at 7pm at the Stake Center. During the devotional, adults and youth
will select the Self-Reliance course they would like to attend. We highly recommend these
courses to all adults and youth, especially for our youth preparing for a mission, college, life!
Bishop counselors, Young Women Presidency members, Young Women senior class advisors,
and Priest quorum advisors are invited to come and participate in the youth courses.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Brother & Sister Stratford, our Stake
Self-Reliance Specialists.
We look forward to seeing our incoming juniors and seniors, and all adults interested in
increasing in the stature and fullness of Christ.
Sincerely,
Chair, Stake Self-Reliance Committee
