Dear Pocatello Idaho Highland Stake Members,
We are excited to invite our stake to gather together once again for Stake Conference being held next weekend, May 13-15, 2022. Elder Zachary Evans of the Seventy will be presiding. We are confident the Lord will pour out blessings upon us as we unite in our faithful efforts to gather Israel on both sides of the veil.
As explained in our previous email, we invite you to please prepare for stake conference in the following ways:
- Please prayerfully consider who you might invite to come with you and ask the Lord to help you invite them in a normal and natural way. This includes anyone and everyone, member or not, who might not otherwise come. Inviting others to come and worship with us will fill our hearts with The Holy Ghost as we participate in the gathering of Israel. We will be hearing Him.
- Please serve in the Temple before the conference. With our Pocatello Temple closed for cleaning, we will need to attend another Temple. We know the Lord will bless us all as we let Him prevail in our lives, consecrating our time and efforts to serving Him in His Holy Temple. If you are not able to serve in the Temple, please participate in Family History work—enabling others to do their work. The Spirit of Elijah will fill our hearts and we will be hearing Him.
- Between now and Stake Conference, please listen to or read each of the talks given in our most recent conference by the members of the 1st Presidency and Quorum of the 12 Apostles. Ponder the prophetic priorities and doctrine they emphasized and ask our Father in Heaven to help us better understand His will for us. We will then see more like He sees and feel more like He feels. This is really hearing Him.
Our conference schedule is listed below. All four sessions of stake conference will be held at the stake center and the Saturday Evening Adult Session and Sunday General Session will be broadcast to our three other meetinghouses. For those who are unable to gather with us, a link to the Saturday Evening Adult Session and Sunday’s General Session broadcasts will be provided prior to the conference.
- Friday, May 13th at 6am: High School-Aged Youth Testimony Meeting
All high school-aged youth are invited to please come. This is consistently one of the highlights of the year for our youth. - Saturday, May 14th at 4pm: Stake & Ward Council Leadership Meeting

- Stake Officers
- Stake Temple & Family History Consultants
- Bishops
- Elders Quorum Presidents
- Ward Relief Society Presidents
- Ward Young Women Presidents
- Ward Sunday School Presidents
- Ward Primary Presidents
- Ward Mission Leaders
- Ward Temple & Family History Leaders
- If you are unable to attend, please have a counselor attend in your stead.
- Saturday, May 14th at 7pm: Adult Session
- All 18 years and older are invited to attend.
- Please bring your friends and neighbors with you.
- Sunday, May 15th at 10am: General Session
- All stake members are invited to attend.
- Please invite friends and neighbors to attend with you.
We look forward to being blessed by the collective faith of every person in our stake—member and neighbor alike. Please pray for the courage and love required to invite your friends and neighbors to our conference that we might more fully follow Him.
