Dear Highland Stake Friends,
As we enter this holiday weekend, in addition to our Sabbath Day preparations, we invite you consider participating in family, community and interfaith activities.
We have a wonderful opportunity on Sunday evening to participate in a Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Interfaith Service. This interfaith service has been an uplifting tradition in our community for many years. This year, the service will be held on Sunday January 18th at 6:00 pm at the Jensen Hall, Stephens Performing Arts Center (see attached flyer). We hope that you will join in this event as we come together as fellow community members and brothers and sisters of faith.
In addition, as a designated as a National Day of Service to turn remembrance into action through service, we invite you to prayerfully consider how you can serve this coming Monday…in your family, community, or any way you feel inspired. The opportunities available on JustServe.org are fantastic ways to be involved and make a difference in people’s lives.
Thank you for the positive influence you are in your homes, neighborhood and faith communities as you reach out to others and share the love of Jesus Christ.
Sincerely,
Highland Stake Presidency
