Be Someone’s Angel! Additional Giving & Service Opportunities

Dear Highland Stake Friends,

Thanks so much for your willingness to serve and bless the lives of our sisters and brothers! We had an amazing response and all of the gift giving opportunities for Brookdale Senior Living and Rosetta Assisted Living are full! Some have asked if there are additional ways to help:

If you’d like to serve in other ways, there are still opportunities to volunteer to ring the bells and help gather donations for those in need (see: Bell Ringing SignUpGenius link).

We have also become aware of another “Giving Tree” opportunity that has been helping local children in need for the past 10 years. Local educators, social workers and counselors of School District #25 work together to identify children in need and these needs are shared on a Giving Tree. Through the help of generous givers, children across all the schools in our local district receive some love and Christmas cheer. If you would like to help this year please see the Giving Tree opportunities here: Local School Children SignUpGenius link.

The organizers report that “Your willingness to give has made a lasting impact in the lives of many children and families. We are truly grateful for the kindness and compassion shown by everyone involved. Thank you for making this tradition a success and for continuing to bring joy to those in need.”

Please know that these are just some suggestions and invitations to serve and there are many ways to help light the world (check out other ideas to help Light the World or opportunities to serve in our community at JustServe.org). We invite you to be prayerful and purposeful in you efforts to serve in your own home and those around you and thank you for all the good you do! Wishing each of you a wonderful Christmas and blessings of the Savior in your lives.

With Gratitude,
