Dear Highland Stake Friends,
As many of you know, the Church has provided invitations and ideas regarding how we can let our light shine this Christmas season as we love the people around us, share joy and follow the example of Jesus Christ! Please see the “Light the World” website for ideas to share light and goodness with others this Christmas season!
Also, please see the attached flyer, “50 Ways to Light the World” and “50 Ways to Light the Portneuf Valley”; the invitations on the front page and the more local service and participation opportunities listed on the back of the flyer are a wonderful resource! We invite you to prayerfully consider how you and those you associate with can best use these ideas to personally share the light of Christ with each other and with those in our community.
In addition, each ward has been given post-card sized invitations that can be used by ward members to invite our neighbors and friends our Christ Centered, Christmas Eve sacrament meetings we’ll be having on Sunday December 24th. Of course, these invitations can be made by you in any the Spirit directs you!
And finally, as we’ve done in past years, our stake has signed up for Christmas Bell Ringing in cooperation with the Salvation Army at Walmart on Monday December 18, through Saturday December 23. We need to organize volunteers for shifts to cover the times from 10 AM to 6 PM for BOTH doors for all days. Please use this Bell Ringing SignUpGenius to sign up and help! Volunteers can be individuals or small groups ringing the bell. You can sing, play an instrument, or dress like an elf…anything friendly and positive you can think of. This is a great opportunity for youth and families in our stake to provide service!
